How to Add An Event​

The BAS website is an ever-growing database.

Enter as much event information as possible.

Using relevant TagsLocations and Categories we’ll create a site that is rich with data, and will ensure rewarding and simple use.

The website will self-archive, and become a historic reference of our visiting speakers and activities.


  • The site uses the Event Date and Time to determine which event to display.
  • Most Event Locations are already created.  Simply Start typing and the location should appear.
    e.g. Troopers Hill, or Bristol Photographic or, Tyntesfield. 
  • New Location: If you have an entirely new location, enter the full address and adjust the map position to be as useful as possible.
  • Add your event content description in the ‘Details’ section.  You can add images, links and registration forms. The first 30 words are used in the short description. Start with a brief outline to use as a hook. 
  • Speaker.  Add the Speaker’s first and second name.  This will become a search tag.
  • Institution.  Add speaker’s agency, company or university name. This will become a search tag.
  • Event Image.  Upload an image to be displayed in the Events summary description.
