Based in the South West of the UK, BAS is run by amateur astronomers as a non-profit making educational charity.
BAS is one of the most active Astronomical Societies in the UK.
From the most knowledgeable, to those merely curious…we are open to all.
First time visitors are welcome to attend any of our talks, free of charge. For subsequent visits we request an optional donation of £3 per person. BAS Talks are free to members.
We have over 120 members, who enjoy high quality weekly meetings, and who benefit from equipment and material loans.
Send us your Question about Astronomy and we’ll do our best to find you an answer.
