Outreach with the Portishead Rotary Club

On 27 January 2026, Stephen Price and David Bennett visited the Portishead Rotary Club (PRC) and gave two talks on the subjects of the Bristol Astronomical Society and Exoplanets.

It was a great evening and very enjoyable to discuss the history of the Society, our current activities and the latest research on exoplanets.

Following the talks, the PRC kindly gave a £100 donation to the Society, to help us in our out-reach and astronomy related activities. Their donation is very much appreciated and we look forward to hosting a visit of the PRC to our observatory in Failand later in the year.
