    Wednesday night was lively with thunder storm circulating west of Nailsea.  Now clouded over fully at 22.30 BST. No viewing of Perseids tonight at Failand.

    Just picked it up as well John below Ursa Major in a misty break in cloud. May retire now satisfied have seen it tonight.

    Hi Eddie. Yes not too many large towns in Cornwall and I have to say your astronomical knowledge is astronomical.  Anniversaries can be very interesting.

    Hi Ian. Yes could see it without bins but it wasn’t very bright.  I had to hide from the toilet block lights. Averted vision revealed more of the tail.
