Solar cycle progression continues to show an upward trend in sunspot numbers over the year - predicted numbers are given for the next 12 months, as solar activity is forecast to slowly increase.

Constellation of the month is Virgo, which is well placed for observing its stars and deep sky objects, including the Virgo Galaxy Cluster.

35 observing targets for the month are listed, with more details given for Messier 104 (Sombrero Galaxy) in Virgo and observing tips for the Virgo Galaxy Cluster.
