Observing highlights of the month include:
- 3 Nov - Jupiter reaches opposition.
- 9 Nov - a rare daylight lunar occultation of Venus (see p18).
- 10 Nov - excellent transit of Ganymede and its shadow from 17:15 UT.
- 13 Nov - Uranus reaches opposition.
- 17/18 Nov - Leonid meteor shower peak (favourable).
- 27 Nov - close approach of the Moon and M45.
- Constellation of the month is Taurus, which is well placed for observing (see p21).
21 observing targets for the month are listed and more details are given for the following targets:
- Open Cluster M52 in Cygnus.
- Planetary Nebula NGC 7662 (Blue Snowball) in Andromeda.
- Open Cluster M103 in Cassiopeia.
- Planetary Nebula M76 (Little Dumbbell) in Perseus.
